FIFA 18 is only a few months away – and there’s already talk about who the game’s best players will be.
We go through who we think will get a ratings boost this year, and become even more deadly in EA’s flagship footballer.Let’s kick things off.
10. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Aubameyang has been in blistering form for Borussia Dortmund of late, and this will be reflected in his FIFA 18 rating.
While his standard FIFA 17 card had a modest 86 rating, we’ll likely see the Gabon international jump up to closer to the 89 mark – with abilities not dissimilar to his current Super In Form FUT card.
9. Robert Lewandowski
In FIFA 17, 28-year-old Lewandowski was one of the highest rated strikers in the game with 90.
The Bayern Munich forward has been in great form this season, so we fully expect his rating to get a slight boost – maybe to 91.
8. Eden Hazard
Hazard has seen a new lease of life under Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte.
The Belgian was one of the best wingers in FIFA 17 with an impressive 89 score.
However, off the back of sublime performances for the Blues, we’d expect to see this climb a couple of points to around 91.
7. Zlatan Ibrahimovic
The Manchester United striker seems to be getting better with age – and has been on fire under Jose Mourinho.
In FIFA 17, his highest-rated card was a brilliant 94.
While his FIFA 18 standard card won’t quite reach those heights, he’ll certainly get a boost, rising from 90 to 92.
6. Luka Modric
The Real Madrid ace just gets better and better, so is almost certainly in line for a ratings boost.
The 31-year-old had a decent 89-rated standard card – but this is far too low for someone of his talents.
Expect his rating to be well into the 90s in FIFA 18 – perhaps 93.
5. Luis Suarez
Another consistent performer who just seems to be getting better and better.
The Barcelona sharpshooter’s standard card was a breathtaking 92 – ranking him amongst the best players in the game.
Expect this to rise to 93 – as he’s not quite as well rounded as his Barca teammate, Leo Messi.
4. David De Gea
Manuel Neuer may be FIFA 17’s best goalkeeper, but in FIFA 18 that could well change.
De Gea has been brilliant for Manchester United – pulling off strings of spectacular saves.
The Spaniard was two points behind Neuer in FIFA 17, with 90 – but expect him to climb to 92 this year.
3. Gareth Bale
The lightning fast Welshman may be coming back from injury, but no one can doubt his class.
Before he picked up the knock, the Real Madrid winger was in blistering form – and this will no doubt lead to a FIFA 18 ratings boost.
His score will likely rise from 90 to 92 – ranking him amongst the game’s best.
2. Lionel Messi
Messi has had a brilliant season – and bar a few hiccups, has been one of Barca’s most consistent performers.
There is simply no way that his 93 rating cannot go up – especially given his stunning 98-rated Team of The Year card.
It won’t reach those heights, but a boosted score to 94 should be a dead cert.
1. Cristiano Ronaldo
Ronaldo had an unforgettable year in 2016, but 2017 hasn’t started off as smoothly.
The Portuguese, 31, is still providing moments of magic, but hasn’t been finding the back of the net as often.
Still, he will remain the game’s greatest player – beating Messi by one point to score 95.
