People as usual want next NHL 18 to bring something new and this time too there has to be certain integrations made to it to make it a real success. NHL is most likely the favourite offline played mode and EA has to treat it well as per its worth. And of course to add to its value EA this year has to come up with new budgeting and relocation. Fans have indeed some more suggestions for the Game that might even add to its user interface and add great experience to the Game play.
NHL 18 Features Wishlist:
Reward for Strikes:
If the player is striking at an amazing rate, why not to reward him. If the score continues to be 4 hits in 2 games then the player can be rewarded with a shooting boost of a+1 score and if the player scores 6 strikes in 5 penalty minutes he can be get extra reward of a+1 attribute score. Well that would be really fair for regular players. On the contrary, the goal keepers should try to prevent the players from keeping this rate and if they could not then the glove hand of the concerned Goalkeeper should go down by 1 until he beats that prevailing strike rate.
Jersey:
It is always good with options right? Well HUT already has options for 100 of jerseys but what we get to use is one dark or light jersey. So, why not add dimensions to it….! The players can get an additional option to choose a third Jersey of their choice.
Coaches:
I have been playing HUT since a very long time with the old generation only and what I have seen is that the coaches are not that worth and there are licensing troubles using real life coaches. So we should stay struck with that same old Fiddler and Ivansky? Of course not, more guidance can always take the game to a better level. The game can have additional coaches too- One head Coach, two assistants and one coach for goal. And it would make a great chemistry if all are paired together.
NHL 18 Ideas for the GM mode:
Contract Negotiations:
well I don’t know about the new gen yet, but I am quite well acquainted with the old gen and their contract with the players. If you are willing to offer 85% of the price of the player you are likely to hit the minimum contract price. But this is so easy and dim. EA can take these consultations to a deeper level like giving a real life touch to it by initiating negotiations between players and managers. Player overrate themselves and manager ask for concession and they settle somewhere in the middle. Secondly a must have NMCs and NTCs for the managers to contract more reasonably. And a very important element that is missing – to extend the current contracts is all that is needed to make this contracting with players personal and sound.
Trade negotiations need to be equally just as contract negotiations, no more trial and error scenario. Just add the bunch of things on both sides of the trade and ask for “What will you give me for this” button and AI GMs fill in the values.
Authority over Coaches:
The new franchise mode should provide for the option of hiring/ firing the coaches. As per the “full control” feature into the franchise mode the owner is given the liberty with the budget a portion of which can be used to have a control over the coaches. With the money you can hire/fire 1 Head Coach with certain boosts/drawbacks, 2-3 assistant coaches with scaled boosts/drawbacks.
Overalls indeed are good dictators of attributes but it would be so better if emphasis be laid on current playing statistics.
Celebration can be modified:
Be it the Gm mode or the PRO mode the cup celebration at the end continues to be the same and I am done with it now. What if an all new celebration integration be made into the game to make it more fascinating for the players and add more to their victory. The players can be allowed to skate around holding their Stanley cup. A button to pump the Cup another to kiss it and yet another to hold it high and enjoy the win.
Some more NHL 18 suggestions to be a PRO:
Ask for a trade:
If things are going in favour and you are happy with it you can always ask to negotiate a trade and the coach can help in it by stashing on a 4th line until you hit the trade.
Liberty with your positions:
I think this is a simple yet an important feature for the Game. The new member in a team should feel free to change is position wherever it suits him.
Career mode:
It will be so good if for the world cup you get chosen in the same team from where you actually belong to, this feature has been integrated by FIFA a long time back and of course it would add new dimensions in our vision towards the Game.
Skills competition:
Time for some extra rewards. If the player is good enough it can get through the Skills competition or All star game and from here it can earn rewards and incentives that can be used in regular season.
MINI-GAME: Once the player is done with its draft stocks new practice modes like Target practice, Hitting timing, Fighting timing, etc. could be added to improve/lower draft stock.
EASHL modifications:
While the new players keep the game to a level and it is actually annoying very for the players to keep to that level only and not progressing. The EASHL should provide players with an incentive to progress pretty much in one go, to keep than tact to the Game.
To conclude it I would say, I am actually not sure what NHL do with these suggestions and how practical and applicable they might be. But yeah if some of these get integrated into the Game, I feel a next level glory will be added to the already hit Game.
