A few takeaways:

•     Murray’s rating improved two points from last year (80) but should be higher considering his huge leap statistically last season and likely to be a focal point this coming season.
•     Johnson and White’s ratings jumped from last year. Johnson was set at 76 last season and White’s was 79. Depending on his play next season, if Johnson continues his steady climb, I wouldn’t be surprised if his rating jumps.
•     Currently, no Spur is at a 90 or higher player rating.
•     With DeMar DeRozan exiting the Spurs, expect the overall team rating this season to drop. He had the highest player rating last season at 86. The Spurs had an overall rating of 75.3 for NBA 2K21.

99 ratings don’t exist in ‘NBA 2K22’
In a tweet releasing the first ratings from NBA 2K22, the company revealed four players sharing the best rating at 96 overall. That group includes LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Stephen Curry. Next were Kawhi Leonard (impressive for being on one leg), Nikola Jokić, and Joel Embiid with 95 each. Rounding out the top 10 were Luka Dončić, James Harden, and Damian Lillard, all ranked at 94 overall.

Unlike NFL’s official game “Madden 22”, the NBA hasn’t gotten a lot of 99 rated players. In fact, no player in the entire league has gotten a 99 rating. While last year’s highest-rated players (Steph and LeBron) had a rating of 97, this year the ratings have dropped a bit with the highest rating being 96.

So who are the Top 10 Players with the Highest Ratings in NBA 2K22

But Durant is far from the only player to question his rating in the soon-to-be-released NBA 2K22. Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks helped take his fifth-seeded team to the conference finals. His reward was an 89 rating. He put lots of laughing emojis in his tweet, but it was a pointed message.
