World of Warcraft: Shadowlands has introduced a number of new character creation options for many of the game’s playable races, except for some, especially Horde’s Nightborne and Alliance’s Light Forged Draenei. Thanks to what Blizzard now calls “passionate feedback” on this issue, new customization options will appear in those races sooner than expected.

Although the new character customization options were well-received, they were only rolled out for select races and, up until now, the plan has been to hold off on adding similar customization options for additional races until World of Warcraft’s next expansion. That plan just changed and fans of two Allied Races are in for an exciting surprise.

More character creation options has long been a request of the game's community, who believe WoW's character creation suite is lacking when compared to other modern MMOs. Shadowlands made big strides in bridging some of that gap.

The new Nightborne and Lightforged Draenei options will include new hairstyles, hair colors, facial hair, skin colors, accessories, horns, tail length, tattoos, and more.Additionally, the patch will add even more options for Void Elves, including ear size options and 5 natural hair color options for the High Elf lovers.

Blizzard says the game's High Mountain Tauren race is next in line for additional customization options. As for when any of these new options will be added, that's currently unknown. Shadowlands' patch 9.1, which brought a new dungeon, raid, and zone, released June 29, and there is currently no date for patch 9.1.5. Blizzard says to stay tuned for additional information.

In addition to new customization options for Lightforged Draenei and Nightborne, 9.1.5 will also introduce other cosmetics such as:

•     Ear Size options for Void Elves
•     New Travel Forms for Druids
•     New Soulshapes for Night Fae
•     New Crittershapes to unlock: Soulshape into an adorable squirrel or other small critters. Note: Due to their tiny appearances, they are only usable in rested areas.
•     Option to Soulshape and Crittershape into randomly collected appearances.
•     New Toys

The WoW team discriminates against Activision Blizzard harassing women as Blizzard seeks to add more ways for players to express themselves in the game. The Burning Crusade Classic test realm has removed the ability to use / spit emotes in other players. The WoW team has also removed an in-game reference to former WoW game director Alex Afrasiabi, who was directly nominated in a California lawsuit.
