Officially released on August 6th, after several rounds of testing and some postponements, Bless Unleashed has just passed the one million downloads mark on Steam. So it is! How could it be, this great feat was celebrated by the devs of Round8 Studio, who even talked about other numbers and made some promises in a new press release… let's check the details?

Because it's amazing how much you can ignore player feedback and hundreds of stories of other games that died a tragic death due to bad and unfavorable solutions for players. Bless Unleashed is an action-MMORPG set in the Bless universe, most recently on PC with the much-maligned Bless Online. The MMORPG first released to consoles last year, and has since seen some changes, specifically to UI and controls, to fit the MMORPG to the PC experience.

You start off Bless Unleashed in a dream-like state; one that becomes a tutorial for the combat you’ll find yourself relying on. Then you wake up, finding yourself visiting a town for a festival. There are friendly characters to talk to, fireworks in the sky and a promising theatrical show that narrates the story of this world’s history. Soon though everything goes pear-shaped, the town is invaded by monsters and demons and it is they who start killing everything in sight – including the head honcho of this town, a high priestess who is running everything. Thankfully you escape along with some other heroes, ending up far away on the other side of the world. Then the real game begins and you go out in search of answers…

The gameplay itself is typical of MMORPGs. Bless Unleashed does nothing in its own way and each element is a copy of other popular titles. Combat is based on simple combos and looks more or less the same as in Black Desert Online. Unfortunately, however, since I chose the Berserker of course, I quickly realized that my attacks are slow and that my character has difficulty turning while performing a combo. This is how I understood that I won't be playing PvP here. The fight, despite its spectacularity, is very tiring and, frankly speaking, irritating most of the time.
